Short answer—yes. Our tours and are rated from Leisurely to Advanced, so you can choose the physical activity level that works for you. Many days on-tour also include options to customize your experience—take a slightly different route, skip the afternoon activity, or head off on your own to do something just for you. Your Tour Director ensures everyone feels supported and included, and we find that fellow travelers are incredibly encouraging and supportive of each other’s pace and abilities. Most of our Iberian tours operate in May to June and September to October—the shoulder season windows when temperatures are ideal for active travel, crowds are thinner, and the landscape is at its most vivid. We intentionally avoid scheduling hiking and biking tours during peak summer heat, particularly in Andalusia and southern Portugal. The Mallorca cycling season peaks in spring; the Camino is best walked in shoulder season on either side of summer.

Yes. Several tours offer pre and post stay extensions in cities including Barcelona, Seville, and Porto. Check your specific tour page for available extension options.

Every Spain and Portugal tour includes handpicked hotel accommodations, breakfast each morning, a Welcome Dinner, a Farewell Dinner or Farewell Lunch, private local transfers, and an expert Tour Director who leads the group throughout. Most tours also include a selection of additional dinners with beer or wine, at least one or two lunches, and regional tastings — think Andalusian olive oil, Catalan vermouth, Mallorcan cheese, or Douro Valley port — though the specifics vary by itinerary. Local guides join the group for hikes, sightseeing tours, and adventure activities, and all equipment for included activities is provided: kayaks, e-bikes, yoga mats, and more on Multi-Adventure tours; Cannondale road bikes or e-touring bikes, helmets, GPS devices, and a support van on Biking tours. International flights aren't included in the tour price but can be booked through EF Adventures. Optional excursions — a flamenco show in Seville, an evening at the Alhambra, a Douro Valley wine tasting — are available to add on. Yes, a significant portion of our travelers book solo. Tours are small-group by design, which means you're joining a group of like-minded travelers rather than a large bus tour.
