Hike a portion of the Waterfall Way along the Fimmvörðuháls Trail, passing several cascading wonders. Get your adrenaline pumping while whitewater rafting in Gullfoss Canyon, and kayak among icebergs in Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon. Overnight flight

Day 1: Fly to Reykjavík

Try to get some sleep on your overnight flight to Iceland—you're about to dive into one epic adventure. Think geysers, glaciers, and all the wild, fire-and-ice landscapes of Iceland that you've been daydreaming about.

Day 2: Arrival in Reykjavík, coastal bike tour & optional Sky Lagoon visit

Welcome to Reykjavík, where the cool Atlantic brushes against vibrant city life. Today's journey by bike reveals the city's serene coastline and eclectic culture, setting the stage for the natural splendors that lie ahead. In the afternoon, you’ll have the chance to visit the geothermally heated seawater of Sky Lagoon, known for its therapeutic properties.

Kickstart your Icelandic saga with a guided bike tour along Reykjavík's picturesque coastline. Marvel at the birdlife in Seltjarnarnes, a peninsula and bird sanctuary, glide through the Perlan area, and feel the warmth at Nautholsvik thermal beach. The highlight? Grotta tidal island and its historic lighthouse. This moderate 11.6-mile ride is the perfect introduction to Iceland's stunning natural beauty and charming cityscapes.

Snæfellsnes Peninsula & Reykjavík extension

If you’d like to keep the adventure going a bit longer (we completely understand), join this extension to the Snæfellsnes Peninsula, a region known for its jagged lava fields, historic fishing villages, and the incredible Snæfellsjökull Glacier. Icelandic locals say this peninsula is basically Iceland in miniature, because it encompasses many of Iceland's landscapes and attractions in a relatively small area. If you’re looking to dive even deeper into Iceland’s wonders, come along for a few days of kayaking, glacier exploring via Snowcat, and more.

Day 8: Journey to Snæfellsnes Peninsula & kayaking around Mt. Kirkjufell

Included meals: Breakfast, Dinner

Today, you'll bid farewell to Reykjavík and set your sights on the iconic Kirkjufell mountain, known as Iceland’s most photographed mountain. You’ll work your arms and take in the views as you kayak along the coastline—a classic two birds, one stone situation.

Get ready to witness the awe-inspiring beauty of Mt. Kirkjufell on a guided kayak tour. As you paddle along the picturesque Icelandic coastline in your ‘sit on top’ kayak, you'll have the opportunity to view the magnificent Kirkjufell mountain from all angles, capturing unforgettable photos along the way. Afterwards, warm up with some included refreshments.

Reykjavík

Day 9: Snæfellsjökull Glacier snowcat tour, Borgarnes Settlement Center & return to Reykjavík

Today is a day of both natural wonders and cultural discovery. In the morning, you'll ride a snowcat up Snæfellsjökull Glacier, which is definitely as thrilling as it sounds. This iconic glacier-capped volcano is not only a stunning natural landmark but is also believed by some to be one of the world's seven main energy centers. Then, in the afternoon, you'll dive into Iceland's Viking past in Borgarnes on your way back to Reykjavík.

Snæfellsjökull glacier snowcat tour

  • Duration: 3 hours

Get ready for an extraordinary journey to the summit of Snæfellsjökull Glacier aboard a snowcat, a special vehicle built to drive over snow and ice. As you ascend from the glacier's base, marvel at the unique landscape that inspired Jules Verne’s book, Journey to the Center of the Earth. When you reach the summit, get out and take in the breathtaking panoramic views of the Snæfellsnes Peninsula.
