After landing in Marseille, you'll journey north into Provence, a region where Roman history meets cycling paradise. Rolling hills draped in vineyards, medieval villages perched on limestone outcrops, and endless lavender fields have made this corner of France a favorite among cyclists—and it's easy to see why. The light here is spectacular, inspiring everyone from van Gogh to Cézanne, and the roads weave through a landscape that's both gentle and challenging, perfect for building your legs before the Alps. Your base for the next three nights puts you within striking distance of some of the region's most celebrated climbs and vineyards.

Welcome to your first day in the saddle! And there's no better place to find your rhythm than on the sun-drenched roads of Provence. After getting fitted for your bike and dialing in your setup, you'll set off through the heart of the region on a route that showcases everything that makes Provence irresistible to cyclists. The ride winds through a patchwork of vineyards, olive groves, and classic Provençal villages—stone houses clustered around ancient church towers and sleepy squares shaded by trees. As you roll through the Rhône Valley with Mt. Ventoux rising in the distance, the anticipation builds: you're heading to Châteauneuf-du-Pape, one of the world's most celebrated wine regions. Your ride culminates at a historic château, where a guided tasting and lunch await—the perfect reward after a morning of cycling. After returning to your hotel, you can choose to join an optional excursion to Avignon, the "City of the Popes," for a guided evening tour and apéritif.

Today brings one of cycling's most famous challenges: Mt. Ventoux. Known as the "Giant of Provence," this barren, windswept peak has claimed a mythic status in Tour de France lore—a place where champions are made and legends are born. While Ventoux won't appear in the men's Tour de France in 2026, it remains part of the Tour de France Femmes, and its reputation needs no race to validate it. Your ride begins in Mazan, taking you through the village of Bédoin before the real work starts. The ascent climbs through fragrant pine forests that eventually surrender to exposed, lunar-like landscapes. When you crest the summit at over 6,200 feet, with panoramic views stretching across the Rhône Valley to the Alps, you'll understand why this climb has earned its place in cycling history. From there, you'll descend the backside of Ventoux—a thrilling reward after the grueling climb—dropping down to the valley floor in Malaucène. Here's where the routes diverge: those opting for the shorter route can stop here, while those looking for more will continue with a scenic ride all the way back to the hotel.

Today takes your Tour de France experience to another level with exclusive access to the Stage 17 Starting Village. Your VIP pass gives you access to the village near the signature podium and the starting line, as well as to the riders’ paddock—the “pit lane” for cyclists where teams prepare and strategize. Once you arrive, those with energy to spare can tackle an optional ride—starting from the iconic summit of Alpe d’Huez itself, descending the switchbacks before climbing back up via the quieter Villard-Reculas route on the backside of the mountain. This challenging ride offers an exclusive preview of what’s to come, with the road already alive in anticipation of Stages 19 and 20.

Today you’ll tackle one of the most challenging rides of your tour. Starting from the summit of Alpe d’Huez, you’ll descend on narrow roads and around hairpin bends into the Oisans Valley before climbing Col de la Sarenne—a route that will make its Tour de France debut in Stage 20 of the 2026 race. You’re riding this climb before the pros do, experiencing the mountain in its raw, untouched state. As you gain altitude on the Col de la Sarenne, the views expand to reveal the distant Écrins massif. The summit sits at over 6,500 feet, offering a moment to savor your accomplishment before riding back towards Alpe d’Huez. Those opting for the longer ride will continue upward to Poutran Pass and Lac Besson, a high-altitude lake surrounded by alpine meadows.

This is the day you’ve been waiting for. Today you’ll get exclusive access to ride up Alpe d’Huez ahead of Stage 19—not just any climb, but one of the most famous ascents in all of cycling. The 21 numbered switchbacks have become synonymous with the Tour de France itself, each hairpin turn counting down to the summit where champions are crowned and careers are defined. What makes today special is the atmosphere. The mountain is closed to vehicle traffic and transformed into a festival of cycling, with fans from around the world lining every meter of the road. You’ll be cheered on at every turn, riding through painted names and banners while the anticipation builds for the pros who will follow hours later. When you cross the actual Stage 19 finish line, you’ll take victory photos on the official Tour de France podium—a moment few outside the peloton ever experience. After a quick change at your hotel, you’ll head to the Alpe d’Huez Grandstand for the VIP Finish-Line Hospitality. This exclusive vantage point offers prime viewing of the stage finish, along with drinks, snacks, and big-screen coverage of the action unfolding on the mountain. Later, you’ll gather with your group for your Farewell Dinner—with a special twist. Your transfer to the Geneva Airport takes about 2.5–3 hours, giving you one last chance to reflect on everything you've accomplished—from Ventoux to the Sarenne to Alpe d'Huez—before your international flight home.
